Announcing the incoming PDTG officers for 2021-2022
I am happy to introduce our new PDTG officers for 2021-2022. We have
a great mix of fresh volunteers along with experienced officers to carry
the torch forward. As the solo nominee for each role, each candidate
becomes the de facto incoming officer. The official transfer will
happen immediately after the conference in October, with in-person
introductions at the PDTG business meeting. Please join me in
congratulating and thanking our new officers!
Chair - Han Zhang
I am honored to join other PDTG officers to
continue to serve our members. During the challenging time of the pandemic,
many things have been changed to online. While the situation is
challenging, it also provides us the chance to get connected and work together
remotely while saving the time of traveling. We will ensure the TG
activities run smoothly in the upcoming HFES virtual meeting. In
the meantime, we can propose activities that help with TG members'
networking such as online sharing, seminars and remote social gatherings.
We can also utilize social media to broadcast design related
information/knowledge and sharing activities to improve the visibility
of the PDTG, to HFES members and the public.
A short self intro-- I have dedicated my career to human
factors design and research. Currently I am the Tech lead of human factors
at Cisco, working on enterprise wearables and conferencing devices.
Previously, I was a human factors researcher at Amazon, designed and led
the HF research for multiple versions of Echo Frames. At my spare time, I
love spending time with my young son, hiking and swimming.
